Mayor’s Week of Valor

Mayor Greg Fischer and the Veterans Community Alliance of Louisville (VCAL) are proud to announce the ninth annual Mayor’s Week of Valor — a series of events to honor and celebrate the contributions and sacrifices of active-duty military, veterans, and their families.

Coinciding with Veterans Day, the 2022 Week of Valor will feature educational, patriotic, community and civic events from Nov. 1 through Nov.

12.

Events include a Team Red, White & Blue Casual Ruck on Nov. 1, a University of Louisville Football Salute to Service Game on Nov. 5, and a RSVP Veterans Health Fair on Nov. 10. An early kickoff to the Week of Valor will take place on Oct. 22 with the KDVA 5K Run, Walk and Stroll.

For a downloadable flyer, please click here.

Additionally, on Saturday, Nov. 5, the annual Veterans Day Parade will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southeast Christian Church campus, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy. More details can be found at https://www.kyvetparade.com.

To help honor the contributions of all of our active-duty military, veterans and their families, everyone is invited to show your support at these Week of Valor events.
